February Favourites

Writing a favourites post has really encouraged me to change up the products I am using each month. In the past I have gotten into the habit of just using the same products on rotation for months on end. I need to try and get the most from all my products and share the love...

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Mont Blanc
I own over a dozen foundations (yes, I know it is too many). Nars Sheer Glow is one I love but for some unknown reasons just forget about it. Nars Sheer Glow makes my skin look like my skin but just better. It is not too glowy but just makes me look radiant. Mont Blanc is an excellent colour match for me.

Nars Powder Blush in Deep Throat
Deep Throat is the first Nars blush I purchased and it is still my favourite. It gives me those perfect peachy pink cheeks with some gorgeous shimmer.

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette
Working a lot lately has lead to me wearing very neutral shadows on my eyes. The Naked Basics Palette is perfect for that. The mostly matte shades are lovely and pigmented and easy to work with.

Covergirl Clump Crusher by Lashblast in Very Black
This is the newest mascara release from Covergirl, I purchased it when it was only $10.00 and boy am I glad I did! It is a fantastic mascara and really doesn't clump. Very Black really is well, very black.

Clinique Chubby Stick in 15 Pudgy Peony
My lips have been feeling dry with the constant changing weather lately. Chubby Sticks are perfect in those situations. This is a pretty pink shade that I just love.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate in 16
This a freaking amazing shade of coral. I love how it just brightens up my face instantly. These lipsticks are moisturising and long lasting on the lips. Cheap too.

  1. How are you finding the basics palette? I get the feeling the light shades are way to similar for me to get much use of out :/ I wish there was another medium shade instead

    1. With the popularity of the Basics palette I think they will release a volume 2, like with the original Naked 1 & 2. I think there was around a year between the release of those two.

    2. The light shades are pretty similar but being very pale they show up different on the skin. I agree with Tara - they will probably release another one eventually :)

  2. I have over a dozen foundations too! I'm going to try and go through this week and purge some, sell them in a blog sale.

I also love Sheer Glow and Naked Basics. I've got Clump Crusher but I've only used it a couple of times, I need to dig it out.

I think my favourite of this month has been a glitter polish by Australis, it's pink, purple and gold glitter. I wore it like 4 times!

  4. I've heard so many good things about Nars Sheer Glow, I'm going to have to try it some day. The Rimmel lippy looks lovely. My favourite product this month has been my Benefit Bad Gal lash mascara.

    1. I have recently began to understand why people like the Bad Gal mascara. When I first tried it I was unimpressed but now I see how dark it gets my lashes - so much so my Nan commented on how black they were :)
