Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill in 8 Champagne - Review

When I was at David Jones back in May for my birthday (post about it here). I decided to pick up one of these eyeshadows. I had read so many rave reviews on Temptalia that I just had to try one.

I decided on shade 8 Champagne. There were quite a few different shades that I loved the look of but, at $47.00 each I chose just to get the one. I chose Champagne because it looked like a great everyday colour that would be easy to wear.

I am not someone who can be bothered on most days to do a complicated eye look with various shadows. I like to use just one eyeshadow if I can. Yeah, I'm lazy. :)

This shadow allows me to use only one product. It is like two shadows in one. Champagne is a pinky beige metallic colour. When applied to the lid it give a multi-dimensional colour. It is a really gorgeous colour that I have gotten compliments on when wearing.

This shadow is like a cross between a cream and powder shadow. I find that it applies and blends very easily. It is also highly pigmented but can be applied lightly for sheer wash of colour or built up for stronger colour.

The most amazing thing about this shadow is its staying power. It does not budge at all. It will still look the same after 10 hours, no base needed. It doesn't crease, smudge, fade or shift whilst on the eyelid. It can also be applied wet, though I haven't tried it yet.

Applied heavily in the centre, lighter on the edges.

I am really glad I picked up this eyeshadow. It is amazing quality and so versatile. I can't wait to purchase more. Though they are pricey, you get a lot of product for the price.

The Loreal Infaillible shadows are considered dupes for the Giorgio Armani shadows. I think they are close but the Giorgio Armani shadows are multi-dimensional and the Loreal are not.

Giorgio Armani Beauty is only available from David Jones in Australia.

Have you tried these eyeshadows? What do you think?

    1. This is the first product I have tried from them. Want to try more now though the only problem is I am no where near a counter.

  3. Oh I've really been wanting to try these! I have one of the Chanel Illusion D'Ombre's and love the texture and staying power, would you say these are quite similar?
This would be a great colour for every day use! I'm pretty lazy when it comes to makeup for work too :P

    1. The texture is different. These are more of a powder and the Illusion D'ombres are cream. Similar pigment and staying power though. :)
